My Story


Hi, I’m Trisha Meneses, the founder of The Productive Single Mum, and this is my journey.

Becoming a single mum to a child with autism completely changed my life. It brought with it challenges I never anticipated, but it also taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of creating a life rooted in balance, purpose, and love.

When my son was diagnosed with autism in 2017, I felt like my world turned upside down. I was faced with an overwhelming mix of emotions grief, uncertainty, and even guilt for not knowing how to navigate this new chapter.

The daily demands of caregiving, managing appointments, and advocating for his needs left me feeling drained. At the same time, I struggled to find time for myself, and it seemed impossible to juggle everything.

Time often felt like it was slipping through my fingers, and healing often felt out of reach. But deep down, I knew I couldn’t let those feelings define my life or my son’s future. I realized that if I wanted to create the life I envisioned for us, a life where we both could thrive I had to take control of my time, my mindset, and my approach to daily challenges. It wasn’t easy.

There were days when I felt like giving up when the weight of the world felt too heavy to carry. But I slowly started finding ways to bring structure and intention into my life. I began building systems to organize my days, manage my time, and find space for self-care and personal growth. These weren’t just tools they became lifelines that helped me navigate the challenges of autism parenting while creating a life that worked for both me and my son.

Along the way, I discovered the power of celebrating small wins, embracing flexibility, and giving myself grace. I learned that productivity isn’t about doing everything, it’s about doing what matters most. I also realized how important it is to take care of myself, not as an afterthought, but as a priority. After all, how could I show up as the best mum for my son if I wasn’t taking care of my own well-being?

That’s why I started The Productive Single Mum, to share what I’ve learned and to support other mums on their journeys. I know firsthand how isolating and overwhelming this path can feel, but I also know the incredible strength and transformation that come from it. This is a space where I can share tools, encouragement, and honest reflections to help you feel less alone and more empowered to take control of your time, your healing, and your goals.
